Setting up a Live In-Person Event Component

This feature allows admins to take registration for a Live In-Person event that takes place in a conference room, hotel, or other physical location. This is not for Live Webinars.


  1. Click "Create New Component" and choose “Live In-Person”.
  2. The system default title is “Live In-Person Event”.  You may edit this as needed.  You may also enter optional descriptive text. Then click "Next Step".

  3. Enter the timezone for the event. This is the timezone in which the event takes place
  4. Enter a Start and Ending date and times for that time zone. 
  5. Select the Participation Tracking method. This will control the completion requirements of this component based on an Admin marking a user as having attended or with a grade or both.
  6. Enter the Location Name, Street Address, City, State, and Zip code. This is all seen on the component and included in the Add to Calendar .ics file.

  7. Click “Update” to save.
