Connect Module Enhancements

This is an overhaul to the user experience and admin settings related to the Connect Module. The Connect Module now allows users to make their profiles visible to other users on the site. This provides a directory of users, shows registrants lists within products, and enables 1 to 1 and 1 to many messaging for peer-to-peer networking.

When the user logs in, they are prompted to update their profile information (including their profile image) which will be used for messaging and the user directory

Next, users control what pieces of information they wish to show on their public profile, registrant lists on products they own, and the user directory. New options include adding their Facebook and LinkedIn URLs.

Elevate LMS Release Notes Lastly, users can choose who they wish to receive messages from and add users to their site based contact list.

Once the user has updated their profile settings, they can begin to send and receive messages. The “My Messages” menu is available under the user’s name. An optional “unread message” indicator can be activated. The “My Messages” Page can also be added to the Elevate Menu via the Menu editor.

Click the “Send New Message” Button to begin a conversation. You can search for users by name or by product and can message one user or multiple users at a time.

The “User Listing” lists all users who are on the site. The amount of information listed about the user and whether the user can be messaged is controlled in their individual profile as shown above.

Feature Admin Settings:

This feature must be turned on for your site. To get this feature added, email elevateadmin@commpartners.com Once the module is turned on, go to settings>general settings in the Elevate Menu. Then go to the messaging settings. From there you will find a dropdown menu that will give the option to prompt users to upload a profile image and present other message setting controls
