For a timed quiz, under advanced quiz settings, there is a new setting to allow for quiz submission after time expires. If checked, when the user's time is over, a message appears saying your time has expired and asks the user is they wish to "Submit All Answers Made So Far", which will submit the quiz and grade it based on those answers (un-answered questions will be graded as “incorrect”). Without this setting turned on, timed quizzes are only graded if the user submits their answers before the time expires.

Admin Settings are found in the quiz component, under advanced settings
User View
When a user’s time expires during the quiz, the message below will pop up prompting the user to submit their quiz for grade or cancel. This will result in a failed test and one attempt used.
