Cadmium Identity - Entering Your Email Address

Your login URL takes you to Cadmium Identity, where the first screen asks for your email address.

Use the email address you were invited with. Many applications require an invitation, and your permissions are matched to that exact email address behind the scenes. If you log in with a different email address, you may get through Cadmium Identity and then be denied access to the application itself.

If you’re not sure which email address to use, check with your site administrator or event organizer; this is typically the person who invited you to log in. Ask them to look up the email address on file for you in the application’s user list. They’ll either give you the email address you need to log in with, or let you know that the application doesn’t require a specific one; in that case, any email address will work.

If you’ve already created a Cadmium Identity account with the wrong email address, for example a personal one when the application uses your work email, you don’t need to undo anything. Create a Cadmium Identity account with the correct email address and log in with that instead.

Double check what you entered in the email address field. Take a few seconds, even if it looks right at a glance. Password managers and browser autofill often fill in something other than what you intended: an older email address, a personal email address instead of a work one, or a masked email address with asterisks. Because autofill happens instantly, it’s easy to move past this screen without ever reading what was entered.

Confirm these things before selecting Continue:

  • It’s your actual email address, not one substituted or generated by a password manager
  • It’s spelled correctly
  • It’s an email address you can receive email at, since login codes and verification messages are sent there

IMPORTANT NOTE

Your email address is not case sensitive. Typing Jane.Doe@example.com or jane.doe@example.com will both work.

After you enter your email address, one of two things happens:

IMPORTANT NOTE

Having an account in the application doesn’t mean you have a Cadmium Identity account. If you’ve never logged in through Cadmium Identity before, you’ll be prompted to create an account the first time, even if you’ve used the application itself for years. You only need to do this once.
